Theft of Tractor GPS Equipment We are advising farmers, landowners and rural businesses to remain vigilant following reports nationally of thefts involving tractor GPS systems and precision farming equipment. Criminals are targeting: These items can be removed quickly and are often of high value, making them attractive to organised criminal groups. Crime Prevention AdviceRemove GPS screens, receivers and other detachable equipment when machinery is not in use. Store valuable equipment in a secure building when possible. Record serial numbers and keep photographs of all equipment. Mark property using a forensic marking system or security marking solution. Park machinery in secure, well-lit locations and consider the use of CCTV and alarm systems. Report suspicious vehicles or individuals seen around farms, yards or fields, particularly during evenings and overnight. Ensure gates, sheds and outbuildings are locked and regularly inspected.
